Telangana To Frame Industrial Policy With Input From Today’s Mega Industrial Meet

Telangana state is working towards a ‘zero-corruption industrial policy’ that would also unveil a efficient single-window clearance for setting up industries. As industry bigwigs are queueing up with their proposals, India’s newest state doesn’t want to waste any time with red tape and is planning to unveil it’s industrial policy in about a month. More comprehensive policies related to different verticals, from IT to manufacturing, will follow later, as per sources. Telangana Could Get An IIM In Future, Says HRD Minister Smriti Irani

The union minister on Monday said centre will consider setting up an IIM in Telangana in the future. HRD Minister Smriti Irani told Rajya Sabha on Monday that at present there is no proposal under consideration to set up IIM in Telangana. However, she said, the HRD Ministry is committed to setting up an IIM in states that do not have an IIM. So, the Ministry will consider setting up an IIM in Telangana. She said two separate requests have been received from S Venu Gopalachary, special representative of Telangana state in New Delhi, and Lok Sabha MP Kalvakuntla Kavitha to set up the institute in India’s 29th state. Today is the the 89th birth anniversary of the literary giant Dasaradhi Krishnamacharyulu, who was born on July 22, 1925 in in Warangal district. He was a great pundit in Andhra, Sanskrit, and Tamil languages and puranas. He gave up higher education to join the movement against autocratic Nizam Muslim rule in the Hyderabad Kingdom. Krishnamacharyulu began writing poetry very young as a student. His poetry was revolutionary and was influenced by communist and leftist ideology of Karl Marx. Downtrodden, poor, exploited, workers etc. were his subjects in poetry. In 1949, his first poetry compilation entitled “Agnidhaara” was published. Telangana Grants Navy 2900 Acres Of Reserve Forest To Set Up VLF station

The Navy will get 2900 acres of forest land in Dammagudem reserve forest at Pudur Village, Vikarabad Mandal in neighboring Ranga Reddy district for setting up a VLF station naval base after Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao gave his in-principle nod for allotment of the land today.  “Satish Soni, the Vice Admiral, Eastern Naval Command, Visakhapatnam, met the Chief Minister in the Secretariat today and the latter agreed to extend all necessary cooperation to handover the land,” a Telangana government release said here. Navy will pay Rs 115.06 crore towards compensatory afforestation and net present value of the land in due course, the release added. Renaissance Time, Bonalu Gets A Week Long Exhibition Dedicated To It!

Call it Cultural Renaissance. ‘Bonalu’, an exhibition of paintings, sculpture, drawings, films and photography, will be inaugurated by Eminent filmmaker B Narsing Rao, at State Art Gallery, Madhapur at 5 pm on July 22. Live poetry sessions are to mark the show that is set to capture the spirit of State festival Bonalu. The exhibition will be on for a week upto July 29 from 11 am to 7 pm. The curator of the show is Manohar Chiluveru, an artist from Warangal, who will display three paintings and a sculpture inspired by Bonalu and the five elements of nature. He will be doing live paintings for five days on the theme. The event aims to globalise the Telangana art form by being a unique art fest dedicated to Bonalu.
