Telangana Allocated 163 IAS, 112 IPS & 65 IFS Posts

The Centre has allocated 163 posts of IAS, 112 IPS and 65 Indian Forest Service (IFoS) officers to the newly-formed state of Telangana. The composition of the three all-India services is based on a recommendation by a six-member committee headed by former Central Vigilance Commissioner (CVC) Pratyush Sinha. The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) has issued a notification defining cadre strength for Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS) and IFoS. With this order, Andhra Pradesh will have 211 posts of IAS, 144 of IPS and 82 of IFoS officers, it said. Karnataka government has ordered Raichur police to provide protection to staff working at RDS to increase the height as per agreement reached earlier between Karnataka & AP. Telangana government has been following up with Karnataka government on a priority basis to get the height of Rajolibanda barrage increased by 15 cm. and a letter was written by Irrigation minister Harish Rao to the Karnataka government on the Rajolibanda Diversion Scheme (RDS). The government sources say Karnataka government is cooperating with the Telangana government. But, due to the recent rains, the water levels increased up to crest gate levels. Start-Up Festival In Hyderabad Next Month, Says IT Minister KTR

Hyderabad will be hosting another two-day start-up festival in August. Right now, the city is hosting startup weekend at ISB. Next month’s event would bring together entrepreneurs and investors on a common platform, said K. T. Rama Rao, the IT and panchayat minister who is gunning to enhance the technology ecosystem in the city by conducting tech events on a continual basis. “We want to encourage start-up firms by creating one of the best enabling ecosystems in the country.
