TRS MPs To Question Centre In Parliament On Hyd Law & Order

Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao today held a meeting with TRS Party MPs and discussed the strategy to be adapted in Parliament on Monday to tackle Centre’s moves on Hyderabad. He also met Keshava Rao & Jithender Reddy, the party’s floor leaders in Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha for over 2 hours on availing all opportunities to handle the issue. The MPs would reportedly meet the PM and the home minister to convey the state’s concerns over the issue, once again, in a last ditch attempt. If that fails, the TRS is planning to elicit support of other states’ CMs to oppose the Centre’s moves. Telangana’s Women Entrepreneurs Form ALETS

The bifurcation of AP meant that Telangana has now got it’s own association of lady entrepreneurs. Association of Lady Entrepreneurs of Telangana State (ALETS) was launched on Saturday by a group of successful entrepreneurs in the state to empower women. “Women, especially those in rural areas, are very industrious and have a lot of ideas. We will go and give them guidance in business planning, capacity building, marketing awareness through linkages,” said M Sarita Reddy, founder-president of ALETS. Earlier, there was an Association of Lady Entrepreneurs of Andhra Pradesh (ALEAP) established in 1993.  That group which is based in Yousufguda, Hyderabad has already started limiting it’s activities to residuary AP. Registrations Open For New TIE Young Entrepreneurs (TYE) Program

The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE) is coming up with TIE Young Entrepreneurs (TYE) program, aimed at fostering entrepreneurship among school students. About 40 students from classes 9-12 will be shortlisted for the TYE 2014-15 programme. They will be put through 16 weeks of an inten-sive and interactive Entrepreneurial Training programme. The program aims to nurture the next generation of entrepreneurs. This is a TiE Global initiative dedicated to chapters integrating classroom sessions, mentoring and business plan competition aimed at High School students (grades 9-12 or equivalent college students are allowed). IELTS Test Now Available 4 Times A Month In Hyderabad

With rising demand from the student community in both Telangana and AP, the British Council has increased the test dates for IELTS (International English Language Testing System) to four times a month. Earlier, it was held thrice. Now, In Hyderabad, the test would be held four days every month – one Thursday and three Saturdays. Meanwhile, marking 25 years of the IELTS, 8 Indian students have been declared winners of the British Council IELTS Scholarship Award-2014. They will receive Rs 3 lakh to study in universities across the UK, Canada, Germany and the US. So far, 32 Indian students have benefitted from the scholarships.
