HC Allows GHMC To Take Action Against N-Convention Center

High Court today removed the status quo on the issue of N-Convention center and allowed GHMC to proceed with any lawful action it need to take in the case. However, it reminded GHMC to issue notices before going ahead with any action. With this, GHMC is all set to issue notices. Earlier, GHMC Commissioner Somesh Kumar said they are ready to issue notices but have held back due to the court order to maintain status quo. GHMC is expected to issue notices now after determining the exact FTL of the abutting Thammidi Kunta lake and how much of it is encroached by Nagarjuna’s N Convention Center. KCR Asks Metro To Look At Alternative Routes To Avoid Losing Heritage Structures

Chief Minister KCR reviewed the progress of the metro rail project with officials from Hyderabad Metro Rail (HMR) and L&T. In continuation of his reservations over Metro passing over heritage locations, the CM broached about metro passing the state assembly, M.J. Market, Jambagh, Assembly, Gun Park and Sultan Bazar. The CM asked the HMR to look and exhaust alternate options, even if an underground passage is not feasible at this stage of project. Advantage Telangana: Hero MotoCorp Officials Visiting Today For Their 6th Plant Site

Hero MotoCorp is actively examining Telangana Government’s proposals to establish their 6th manufacturing plant in India, their first in South India. Hero MotoCorp, the world’s largest two-wheeler maker by volumes since 2001.  A team from Hero Motocorp is visiting Telangana today to visit a handful of sites apart from the main one – Zaheerabad. The other sites are reportedly in the industrial lands held by Telangana Government in Rangareddy & Mahabubnagar. However, Zaheerabad remains in focus for now as it has established manufacturing ecosystem with Mahindra manufacturing nearby. Telangana Differs With Centre’s Decision To Release More Water To Delta From Sagar

After Telangana released the 3.5 TMC as agreed last week, AP requested for more water, reasoning that all the water released from Nagarjuna Sagar reached Delta due to evaporation & large craters on the way. Telangana objected to the argument and reiterated it’s suspicion that the water released is being diverted for irrigation instead of the drinking purposes it is being released for. However, AP bought pressure on the centre through it’s friends in ruling  BJP and the Centre through Krishna River Board, without consulting Telangana, which is a member of the board, unilaterally decided that more water needs to be released for Krishna Delta.
