170 Acre Foundry Cluster Park To Come Up In Medak

The Telangana industrial infrastructure Corporation (TIIC) is in the process of establishing a ‘Foundry Cluster Park in over 170 acres in Nawabpet village of Shivampet Mandal of Medak district. Addressing the gathering after inaugurating ‘Sourecon 2014′, Regional Conference of Southern India Foundrymen organised by the Institute of Indian Foundrymen here, Telangana state Industries Department Principal Secretary Pradeep Chandra said the land alienation proposals are in an advanced stage for the park and expressed confidence that this Foundry Park will become functional withing this year. For Level-Playing Field, Telangana Assembly Resolution Demands Special Category Status

Anxious to avoid a skewed investment climate that could be in place if neighboring Andhra Pradesh is assigned the special category status, Telangana assembly passed a resolution that the centre should assign the same status to Telangana if Andhra gets it. KCR Reiterates Telangana Will Give Reservations To Muslim Minorities

Chief Minister KCR today declared that his government would implement reservations to Muslim minorities. The TRS Government will lead an all-party delegation to Delhi and mount pressure on the Centre for reservations, KCR said. KCR added the PM being a BC is expected to empathize with the weaker of the minorities. During a debate on the thanks-giving motion on Governor’s speech in Telangana Assembly here, the CM announced to constitute a committee headed by a retired judge in this regard. Telangana Shakuntala Passes Away From A Heart Attack

Telangana Shakuntala is no more. She is 63. She died from a heart attack last night in her home at Kompalli. She started her movie career in 1981 with the film ‘Ma Bhoomi’. Pandavulu Pandavulu Thummeda is her last film. Shakuntala is of Maharashtra origin. She is a daughter of an army officer from erstwhile Hyderabad State, who settled in Hyderabad decades ago.
