TS Vehicle Registration Codes District-Wise In Telangana

The central government has permitted the state government to register motor vehicles in Telangana state with ‘TS’ code. Earlier, the Centre had given permission for registration of vehicles with ‘TG’ code but the state government wanted TS instead of TG. Accordingly, the central government issued a gazette notification allowing Telangana state to register vehicles with TS code. Transport minister P Mahender Reddy told media persons here on Wednesday that the registration of new vehicles would commence in about four days. There are around 70 lakh vehicles in the state. Thriving On Ground Water, Karimnagar Becomes The Rice Bowl Of Telangana

Indicating a good sign in the new state, Karimnagar district has now emerged as the rice bowl of Telangana, with an expected record paddy production for the second consecutive year this rabi season (2013-14). The district has broken its own record in this rabi season by procuring about 6,16,751 tonnes of paddy through government agencies like market committees, IKP, primary and tribal cooperative societies at minimum support price of Rs 1,345 for Grade-A variety and Rs ,310 for command variety. With this record level procurement the district has re-written its own history in the paddy procurement stream. Telangana Govt. To Establish Tribal And Horticulture Universities

The Telangana government plans to establish tribal and horticulture universities, cotton and silk hub, and pursue with the Railway Ministry to set up a coach factory in Kazipet. As per the AP Reorganisation Act, a tribal university would be established at the earliest, Governor E S L Narasimhan said in his address to the maiden session of both Houses of Telangana state, which came into being on June 2. “We are aware that there is demand from tribals of plain areas for sanctioning an ITDA (Integrated Tribal Development Agency) for them. KCR Asks Officials To Prepare Master Plan For IT sector

Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has directed the officials of Information Technology (IT) Department to draft a master plan by engaging consultants of international standard for expansion of IT hubs at Gachibowli, Maheshwaram and Pocharam and development of infrastructure for the proposed Information Technology & Investment Region (ITIR). At a review meeting held with the officials here on Tuesday, he instructed them to involve GHMC, HMDA, HMWSS&B, APIIC, Revenue, Electricity, HMR and Sports Departments for providing roads, electricity, underground drainage, transport, health city, education and other basic amenities.
