KCR Reiterates Telangana Will Give Reservations To Muslim Minorities

Chief Minister KCR today declared that his government would implement reservations to Muslim minorities. The TRS Government will lead an all-party delegation to Delhi and mount pressure on the Centre for reservations, KCR said. KCR added the PM being a BC is expected to empathize with the weaker of the minorities. During a debate on the thanks-giving motion on Governor’s speech in Telangana Assembly here, the CM announced to constitute a committee headed by a retired judge in this regard.

Allaying fears on implementation of reservations that may surpass the norm of 50 percent, he said Telangana State will take steps for the purpose. KCR quoted example of TN and Karnataka which are implementing reservations successfully for all weaker sections.

When Tamil Nadu State is implementing reservations up to 60 per cent with the 9th schedule, why not we said KCR. The reservations will be implemented following the norms of Constitution.
