Stung By Demotion, Kishan Reddy Now Praises Chandrababu Naidu!

After getting sidelined by the two Naidus, Kishan Reddy now seems to be trying to be in their good books. While the public opinion in Telangana is that the new Govt did a decent job in getting a honest and clean team of officers and is trying to get the administration started, Kishan Reddy thinks otherwise. TDP Criticizes KCR For Not ‘Thanking’ Chandrababu For State Formation!

Telangana TDP President L. Ramana criticized KCR for not thanking Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for his letter to the Centre in favour of formation of Telangana in the past. Mr Ramana said while the CM generously thanked AICC president Sonia Gandhi, BJP president Rajnath Singh, CPI for Telangana Statehood, he did not care to thank Mr Naidu. He pointed out that the TD had given a letter to the Centre in favour of a separate Telangana in 2009 and sent the same letter in 2012 to Centre. High-Tech Sonar Finds No Bodies; Locals Offered Rs 10,000 Cash Reward For Locating Bodies

Rescue agencies Sunday continued their massive operation to search for the missing Hyderabad students and a tour operator by using a high-tech echo sounder device that scanned the Beas riverbed but failed to locate any bodies. Following this, Telangana home minister Nayani Narsimha Reddy on Sunday announced a cash award of Rs. 10,000 and an award certificate to locals to help trace bodies of the missing engineering students from Hyderabad who were washed away in Beas river last week. The Home Minister said that he would be returning to Hyderabad but declared that the search operation will continue until the last body is recovered. “We deployed side scan sonar to capture pictures of the riverbed to locate the bodies. Telangana MSOs Threaten Boycott of TV9 & ABN

The shocking derogatory language used by TV9 against Telangana legislators continue to cause ripples in Telangana with people unable to digest the attack their newly formed State came under. Telangana State MSO president Subhash Reddy stated that the telecast of TV9 and ABN Andhra Jyothi channels in Telangana will be stopped and this may come into force immediately. There are widespread demonstrations and protests across Telangana against the Andhra channels and newspapers which either abuse or altogether ignore the Telangana State Govt. and Assembly. The Telangana legislature unanimously resolved to punish TV9 for it’s derogatory language against the MLAs/MLCs and gave all powers to the speakers of both houses to take necessary actions against the channel.

Beas tragedy: Hi-Tech Side Scan Sonars Deployed To Trace Bodies

A massive search operation resumed Sunday by using a high-tech device that can scan the riverbed full of silt and boulders to locate bodies of 16 engineering students and a tour operator from Hyderabad who were washed away in the Beas river near this town last week. “We deployed to capture pictures of the riverbed to locate the bodies. In this operation, we are using this equipment for the first time,” Jaideep Singh, commanding officer of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), told IANS. In the first four days of the operation, eight bodies were recovered. However, no body was traced in the past two days.
