After Bonalu, Bathukamma, Ramzan, It’s Now Christmas!

Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao promised to a delegation of Christian leaders that the Government would host a Christmas party  this December on the lines of Iftar party it hosted for Ramzan. Soon after taking over power, the devout CM declared Bonalu and Bathukamma as State festivals. Ample arrangemenets were made for Ramzan and now the same is promised to Christmas. The CM also promised to look into several issues the Christian leaders raised, like over construction of churches and availability of christian graveyards. The CM said same guidelines would be followed for construction of religious places, whether temples, mosques or churches. APSCHE Goes Ahead Unilaterally, Announces Dates For EAMCET Counseling

The Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) has informed that the notification for counseling for Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (EAMCET) candidates in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana will be announced on July 30.The verification of certificates would commence on August 7. Although the officials from Telangana did not participate in the meeting, the APSCHE, as directed by AP Govt, went ahead with announcement of dates. Another Delhi Meeting On 30th July, Who Will Lose His Job This Time!?

After handing over 65 MW to AP from Telangana and at the same time, putting on backburner, all complaints of Telangana on violations done by AP, the CEA high power committee has sent notice to AP and Telangana for yet another meeting on 30th July. It needs to be seen if the committee will decide anything at least in this meeting or will again end up dishing up a few advices. Centre Asks Telangana To Shortlist Sites To Set Up AIIMS-Like Institute

Telangana Talkies published 10 days ago that Centre started considering Telangana for an AIIMS like hospital along with other States. That development came after severe criticism from Telangana MPs who exposed the Centre’s bias against the newest state by excluding only Telangana and writing to all other states about setting up AIIMS in those states.  According to the earlier plans of centre, every state in India would have got an AIIMS in next 5 years but not Telangana. Venkaiah Naidu Asks TS To Extend It’s Welfare Schemes To AP Students ‘In Constitutional Spirit’

Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs and Urban Development M. Venkaiah Naidu has said the centre can not intervene in the fee reimbursement issues of Telangana and asked AP Govt. to sit with Telangana Govt. and resolve the issue. “That’s the way the governments function in a democracy,” the Union Minister said addressing a press conference in Hyderabad.
