Venkaiah Naidu Meets KCR; Says Centre Won’t Interfere In Inter-States’ Affairs

Union urban development minister M Venkaiah Naidu met with chief ministers of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana in two different meetings yesterday. He met the Telangana CM at the CM’s camp office at Begumpet. Earlier, he met AP CM at Lake View Guest House. Speculation is rife that the minister has met both the CMs with an agenda to bring some common ground between the CMs, who are divided on almost all counts. The union minister asked the CMs to prepare detailed reports on projects that require Central assistance. The Union minister handed over notes on the Central schemes being implemented in the two States and their current status, officials said. Addressing the media couple of days ago, APSCHE chairman L Venugopal Reddy had ...

The mush awaited Iftar party hosted by the Governor which was expected to be their first meeting after becoming CMs, didn’t quite happen as KCR didn’t make it. So when they met at Begumpet airport, there was a photographer’s delight. And it is satisfied big time. The CMs not just greeted and introduced their cabinet colleagues to each other but were involved in an animated cheerful exchange. The Governor, who is known for his penchant for wit, joined them. The occasion was receiving President Pranab Mukherjee at the old airport at Begumpet here. KCR welcomed Naidu when he reached the airport. The ...

Centre’s Committee Faults AP On Power PPAs, Upholds Telangana’s Rights

NaiDU kcr

Telangana just got a breath of fresh air as the Centre’s committee decided AP is wrong in denying Telangana it’s share of power. The decision should come as a relief to Telangana which is mired under huge power deficit, thanks to AP’s misadventure. The high power committee headed by CEA Chairman Neeraj Mathur reportedly came to the conclusion that AP has violated the AP Reorganisation Act in letter and spirit by unilaterally canceling the Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and refusing to let Telangana use it’s share of power - 53.89 per cent. The CEA’s decision is a severe blow to the unethical behavior of AP Govt. which put Telangana to tremendous hardship by forcing it to undergo big power-cuts by choking it without ...
