AP Bullies CEA To Withdraw It’s Recommendations On PPAs

AP Government blocked a bid by the Neeraja Mathur Committee to give Telangana it’s due share in power, as per the AP Reorganisation Act. In the 2nd meeting held in Delhi yesterday, AP questioned the locus standi of the Committee to oversee the PPA dispute between both the states. This brings the issue back to square one. AP’s stance was always questionable as AP CM Chandrababu Naidu declared even earlier that the Committee is just an advisory body. The Committee held it’s 1st meeting on July 14th and both states presented their arguments. SC Directs EAMCET Counseling To Be Completed By End Of Aug

The Supreme Court today directed both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh governments to complete the admission process for EAMCET by the end of August and begin classes for the current academic session from September first week. The SC referred the matter for next hearing on August 11, when it is expected to give the full judgement, on fee reimbursement and nativity norms.The court asked AP & TS to insulate students’ education from the impact of bifurcation and refrain from politicising the matter. The court observed that the recent EAMCET notification be dealt in a special manner, as it came during bifuraction. NIMS Bibinagar To Be Inaugurated On August 15th

The NIMS Bibinagar campus is opening this August 15th. Efforts are on war-footing to start the out-patient service on the independence day and get the prestigious medical facility functioning. In the subsequent 2nd and 3rd phases, 300 beds and 700 beds would be made available at the hospital. The 1000 bed campus is at Rangapur in Bibinagar and would be made fully functional with all beds and critical and emergency care by end of the year.
