Don’t Attend APSCHE’s Counseling, Says Jagadishwar Reddy

Telangana Education Minister G. Jagadishwar Reddy said students of the state need not attend the certificate verification process for which the notification was issued by the APSCHE. Mr. Reddy termed the APSCHE’s notification as illegal and a ploy by A.P Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and APSCHE to mislead students and defame the Telangana Government. He pointed out that the AP Govt. didn’t even issue a GO to start counselling but enacting a drama with APSCHE. He added that engineering classes started only in October in the last five years and counseling in the past never happened in July He assured students from the State that Telangana Government will conduct its own engineering counselling soon after completing ongoing college inspections of task force. Telangana Grappling For Solutions To It’s Power Woes

Telangana is still trying to grapple with the power issues it is in. The Energy secretary SK Joshi’s trip to Chhattisgarh, which was to happen last week, got postponed and may happen today. He may negotiate for an MoU for purchase of 1500 MW of power, higher than the initial plan of purchasing 1000 MW. The Govt notified creation of TS Electricity Regulatory Authority 2 days ago to fasten the MoU process as the common APERC, serving both AP and Telangana, reportedly cited existing procedures that wont allow for a direct inter-state agreement without competitive bidding. Another Delhi Meeting On 30th July, Who Will Lose His Job This Time!?

After handing over 65 MW to AP from Telangana and at the same time, putting on backburner, all complaints of Telangana on violations done by AP, the CEA high power committee has sent notice to AP and Telangana for yet another meeting on 30th July. It needs to be seen if the committee will decide anything at least in this meeting or will again end up dishing up a few advices. Harish Rao Hands Over Exgratia To Victims Of Train Accident

Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao today handed over exgratia of Rs 5 lakh, Rs 2 lakh on behalf of the State Government and Railways to the 14 families of those deceased in Masaipet Rail accident.  Along with Deputy Speaker Padma Devender Reddy he met the victims’ families and consoled them. He also given them an assurance for insurance amount of Rs 1 lakh.
