Telangana & Maharashtra Agree To Work Together On Inter-State Projects

Irrigation Minister T. Harish Rao’s meeting with his Maharashtra counterpart Hasan Mushrif at Mumbai on Wednesday is successful in clearing the way for Pranahita project. Both States have agreed to remove irritants in the progress of various Inter-State irrigation projects. Both Telangana and Maharastra Governments decided to finalise the alignment for Pranahita barrage, submergence area, full reservoir level and related issues by next month. The Maharashtra government has agreed to convene the meeting of the standing committee to start implementation of the project. The committee comprises officers of both States. It said the Telangana State agreed to reconfirm the inter-State agreement with Maharashtra for implementation of Lower Penganga project on the outskirts of Adilabad. Telangana Setting Up Public Service Commission; 18000 Vacancies Identified Already

The Telangana Government has fastened the process of setting up Telangana State Public Service Commission to fill 18,000 vacancies that are immediately available. Chief Minister KCR is reported to have directed senior officials to take necessary steps for speedy formation of the commission a couple of days ago. The decision comes in the wake of intense demonstrations by sections of OU students over the the regularization of contractual staff. Realizing the government’s objective of fulfilling that poll promise can’t be achieved without addressing the demands of students for jobs, the state government has now taken a two-pronged approach. The logo & badge designed by Laxman Aley for Telangana police was officially approved by the chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and DGP Anurag Sharma. The Telangana police received as many as 2,000 logos, out of which, Laxman’s is finalised. We have posted earlier when the logo was finalized. “It was a very tough time for me to design the logo. “Not ‘T’ In A Cup Anymore, This Is Telangana State”, Govt. Reminds Media

The Telangana government has urged the media not to use ‘T’ as an abbreviation for the Telangana state and advised it to use either the complete word or the State’s code TS. State’s Chief Secretary Rajiv Sharma wrote a letter to editors of all TV channels and newspapers and bought their attention to the wide usage of “T” as a synonym for the Stater“This new state is often quoted in the media with an abbreviated prefix ‘T’, such as T-Govt., T-State, T-CM etc. In fact, the new state is formally mentioned as ‘State of Telangana’ or ‘Telangana State’ in the AP Reorganization Act.  You may kindly recall that the new vehicle numbering scheme also bears ‘TS’ as the abbreviation for Telangana State,” ...

MLA’s Followers Attack & Interrupt RDS Work, Again

The Karnataka government’s bid to raise the height of Rajolibanda Diversion Canal (RDS) has been interrupted on Tuesday , with a mob of 1500 from Kurnool district, followers of local Mantralayam MLA Balanagi Reddy, reaching the dam site in big numbers and trying to attack the former chairman of RDS Seetaram Reddy. The construction activity has been stopped for the time-being. The Karnataka government has decided to provide protection to workers at the site and work is expected to be resumed on Wednesday.
