Both States have agreed to remove irritants in the progress of various Inter-State irrigation projects. Both Telangana and Maharastra Governments decided to finalise the alignment for Pranahita barrage, submergence area, full reservoir level and related issues by next month. The Telangana Government has fastened the process of setting up Telangana State Public Service Commission to fill 18,000 vacancies that are immediately available. Chief Minister KCR is reported to have directed senior officials to take necessary steps for speedy formation of the commission a couple of days ago. The Karnataka government’s bid to raise the height of Rajolibanda Diversion Canal (RDS) has been interrupted on Tuesday , with a mob of 1500 from Kurnool district, followers of local Mantralayam MLA Balanagi Reddy, reaching the dam site in big numbers and trying to attack the former chairman of RDS Seetaram Reddy.
