Telangana State Symbols Maybe Finalized This Week

The Telangana state government is all set to finalize the state’s official symbols this week. Tree, bird, animal and flower symbols which have cultural, traditional and historical significance in Telangana were being scouted and proposals have been sent now to the CM. As per reports, the Indian roller (pala pitta) is being considered for state bird status, while the Indian bison (adavi dunna), the state animal. Mahua (ippa chettu) is considered as the state tree while palash (modugu puvvu) may become the state flower. The indian roller is part of a popular belief. KTR Inaugurates Tech Entrepreneurship Course; Vows To Bridge Skill Gaps

Information and Technology Minister K T Rama Rao today asserted that the Government is committed for industrial development and promotion and to create conducive atmosphere with employable graduates. Inaugurating a Technology Entrepreneurship Course at ISB in Gatchibowli here, KTR reiterated that the Telangana government would focus on bridging the skill gap among students to make them industry ready. The two-year programme is offered by ISB in association with Institute of Electronic Governance. It is aimed to help students create and launch new business ventures — in the technology space — through online courses and in-lab training, design workshops as well. CM KCR Deputes Energy Secretary To Chhattisgarh For MoU On Power Purchase

In continuation of the earlier discussion with Chhattisgarh, the Telangana state government has decided to finalize purchase of 1,000 MW of power from Chhattisgarh immediately, besides planning short-term and long-term power deals with the neighbouring state to overcome the power crisis in the new state. Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, who discussed power shortage and related issues with Transco and CMO officials on Friday, asked Transco managing director Rizvi to take immediate steps to obtain power from Chhattisgarh by entering into a memorandum of understanding with the Chhattisgarh State Power Distribution Company and into a PPA with the Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd (PGCL) for lines. Here Are Kamalanathan Committee Guidelines

The Kamalanathan committee has released the guidelines for allocation of employees between 2 states of Telangana & AP. Telangana employees announced their reservations on the guidelines and said the committee hasn’t considered any of their representations over injustice being done to Telangana employees. Among the many issues they raised over the guidelines are the options being given to employees to choose the state they serve and when considering nativity as one criterion, limiting it to seven years of continuous education. Telangana emplyees also faulted placing Principal Secretary of AP Govt. as the nodal officer to monitor the distribution of employees.
