Harish Rao Hands Over Exgratia To Victims Of Train Accident

Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao today handed over exgratia of Rs 5 lakh, Rs 2 lakh on behalf of the State Government and Railways to the 14 families of those deceased in Masaipet Rail accident.  Along with Deputy Speaker Padma Devender Reddy he met the victims’ families and consoled them. He also given them an assurance for insurance amount of Rs 1 lakh. The minister mentioned how moved is the state government with the accident and the victims and said with CM’s orders,soon after the accident news reached the Government, the ministers immediately swung into action to rescue injured kids and get them treated. Tourism: Rs 50 Cr For Warangal-Karimnagar Mega Circuit Development; Rs 25 Cr For Others

The Centre has granted Rs 75 Cr for tourism development in Telangana, as per the prioritization done during UPA Government’s rule in the meeting held on 10 Jan, 2014. The funds are from Ministry of Tourism’s yearly Central Financial Assistance (CFA) program which extends support to various State Governments in developing tourist destinations. The Warangal – Karimnagar Mega Circuit project got Rs 50 Cr alloted. The circuit covers major tourist attractions like Badrakali temple, Warangal Fort, Ramappa temple & lake, Laknavaram lake and temples in Vemulavada, Dharmapuri, Kondagattu.The funds would be used to improve basic infrastructure in the tourism belt, like hotels, parks, toilets etc. Other projects mentioned below each got Rs 5 Cr alloted - Development of  Durgam Cheruvu Lake, Development ...

Govt Notifies Telangana State Electricity Regulatory Commission (TSERC)

State Government’s Energy Department has issued GO 3 for constituting the Telangana State Electricity Regulatory Commission. The Commission may fully become functional in 3 months after due process. The GO is issued exercising powers conferred under sub-section (1) of Section 82 of the  Electricity Act, 2003 along with section 92 of A.P. Reorganisation Act, 2014. With the approval of the Governor of Telangana State, the GO laid down procedures to constitute a State Electricity Regulatory Commission for the State of Telangana to be called as “Telangana State Electricity Regulatory Commission” (TSERC), with one Chairman and two members. Orders Issued For Distribution Of 3 Acre Land To SCs

Telangana government on Saturday issued orders introducing Land Purchase Scheme to purchase and assign 3 acres of agriculture land to landless Dalit women dependent on agriculture. The government has already taken a decision to launch the scheme from August 15. According to the orders issued by Principal Secretary (SC Development) T. Radha, the focus for the annual action plan under SCSP for 2014-15 would land purchase for landless poor SC households. Three acres of land shall be given to the SC landless women members. Shocking Audit Results Lead To CID Investigation Into Housing scam

The CID investigation ordered by Telangana government into the affairs of Indiramma housing for weaker sections has been triggered by massive irregularities that surfaced in the social auditing. The social audting has been a practice from 2009. However, no political will was shown earlier to set things right, Social auditing in almost 600 out of 11,200 villages in Telangana shows large scale loot of cement, steel, material and siphoning off of grants under benami names. Though on record it was shown that 36,000 houses were built, they don’t exist. The investigation has been ordered on activities during 2004-2014, a period that, as per records, saw 22.4 lakh new houses being constructed.
