Krishna River Board To Meet, After Telangana Objects To It’s Functioning

With the CWC operating unilaterally through the Krishna River Board and granting water to even irrigation in Krishna Delta, under AP’s pressure, Telangana Govt. shot off a letter to it, objecting to it deciding water releases to Krishna and issuing orders directly to the Project Engineer at Nagarjuna Sagar Dam. In response, the CWC notified both the states that there would be a meeting on 7th or 8th of July. Right now, water from Nagarjuna Sagar is being released to Delta as per CWC’s instructions, after a brief stoppage on Tuesday night. CM KCR Bowled Over By MCRHRD Institute

   Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao, an avid nature lover, enjoyed his visit to the Marri Channa Reddy Human Resources Development Institute in Jubilee Hills on Wednesday. The 39 acre sprawling campus with its greenery bowled over the CM, who recollected his earliest days as transport minister, when he made the campus get fenced against encroachments. He reportedly said that it is amazing the campus retained much of it’s natural charm. On arrival at the MCR HRD, the Chief Minister wanted to see the entire premises of the institution. HC Allows GHMC To Take Action Against N-Convention Center

High Court today removed the status quo on the issue of N-Convention center and allowed GHMC to proceed with any lawful action it need to take in the case. However, it reminded GHMC to issue notices before going ahead with any action. With this, GHMC is all set to issue notices. Earlier, GHMC Commissioner Somesh Kumar said they are ready to issue notices but have held back due to the court order to maintain status quo. Channel Boycott Becomes Telangana BJP’s Sole Concern!?

Telangana BJP unit did another exercise to express concern about the boycott of ABN and TV9 yesterday. It urged Governor E S L Narasimhan to take necessary measures for restoration of two Telugu channels — TV9 and ABN — which were blocked out by MSOs in the State.
