KCR Presents Bangaru Bonam As Telangana Celebrates State Festival Bonalu

Bonalu, the annual festival celebrated throughout the Telangana region, particularly grandly in the twin cities of Secunderabad and Hyderabad, has taken a colorful fervour this year as Telangana’s state festival. The thanksgiving festival dedicated to Goddess Mahankali, known also as Maisamma, Yellamma, Renuka Mata, Pochamma, Peddamma, Poleramma, Maramma, and Ankalamma got the official trappings this year. CM KCR resented ‘Bangaru Bonam’ and ‘Pattu Vastrams’ to Mahankali Ammavaru Temple at Lal Darwaza in the Old City on behalf of the State Government. CLP leader K. Jana Reddy, Secunderabad MP Bandaru Dattatreyya, TDP deputy floor leader Talasani Srinivas Yadav, Goshamahal MLA D Raja Singh and others prayed at the temple. BJP Leaders Repeatedly Request Governor’s Intervention!

Looks like Telangana BJP leaders are keen to give Governor ESL Narasimhan a greater say in State’s affairs. This approach is in tune with Centre’s circular on Hyderabad’s law & order. While it can be understood if the party had concerns over issues, what is interesting is that only Telangana BJP leaders repeatedly queue up for Governor’s darshan and request his intervention on each and every issue citing Telangana Government’s decisions. Mahindra Group Chairman Meets KCR; Invites Him To Open New Plant In Zaheerabad

$ 16.7 billion Mahindra group Chairman & Managing Director Anand Mahindra met CM KCR on Saturday and discussed the ongoing works for the car plant near the Zaheerabad tractor plant. Mr Mahindra reportedly informed the CM that the plant would be operational within 4 months and that he would personally invite the CM for the opening ceremony. Mr Mahindra expressed his happiness at the way the tractor plant has turned out and hoped the car plant would see similar operational success. The tractor facility has been set up with an investment of Rs 300 crore and with an installed capacity of one lakh tractors per annum which can be scaled up to meet additional demand. The plant is situated in about 80 acres ...

Birlas To Invest In Healthcare, Education & Expand In Cement

The  $ 1.6 billion Birla Group is likely to invest in cement, healthcare and education sectors in the Telangana State in addition to expanding the operations of its cement and asbestos manufacturing units located in the state. The group’s chairman, C K Birla, and Orient Cement Limited managing director, Deepak Khetrapal, met Telangana chief minister, K Chandrasekhar Rao, here on Saturday and sought his government’s support in this regard. The chief minister responded favourably to their proposals and informed them that the state government would soon come out with an industry friendly policy. Inaugurating the CII organized cyber security conference ‘Counter Measures to Face the Threats’ here on Friday, IT minister KTR said Kaspersky Labs had placed India as the 2nd most vulnerable country to cyber attacks. IT minister, who was also the chief guest, the IT minister said that around 85 per cent of websites — both public and private — complained of being hacked at least once and stressed on the need to adopt cyber security measures to thwart such attacks.
