In the T News Live show yesterday, CM KCR said the Delhi rulers have by force separated 7 mandals of Telangana and merged them into AP. He said it is a bitter reality now and not much can be done. With this, the curtains came down on the contentious issue. Earlier, while the TRS was claiming to go to court over procedural lapses in getting the amendment passed, they seem to have accepted the reality right after passage of the Polavaram ordinance. The State Government till now did not approach the supreme court on the issue. SAIL In Talks With Telangana To Set Up Rs 30,000 Cr Steel Plant!

Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) which has earlier declared it’s decision to establish a steel plant to tap Bayyaram iron ore, as we reported the news earlier, is reportedly already in discussions with Telangana government over the roadmap for setting up the plant. CM KCR disclosed this in a meeting with officials while discussing the formulation of an industrial policy tailored for Telangana. The steel plant reportedly has an initial investment of 30,000 Cr and will be set up on the borders of Warangal and Khammam district. Telangana to Slash Airline Fuel Tax to Make Hyderabad an Aviation Base

The Telangana government is planning to make Hyderabad a base for low-cost airlines by slashing sales taxes on airline fuel. Bringing down sales tax on Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) will encourage more airlines to set up base in Hyderabad, add more air connectivity, drive more economic activity and promote tourism in the state. The value-added tax on jet fuel currently stands at 16% and slashing it to 4% will make Telangana among the few Indian states to do so. States that reduced tax on jet fuel include Gujarat, Orissa, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and West Bengal.
