Sania Mirza Is Pakistan’s Bahu & Doesn’t Deserve State’s Ambassadorship, BJP’s Bizarre Comment

The BJP on wednesday criticized  Telangana Government for appointing tennis star Sania Mirza its brand ambassador and giving her a grant, saying she is a non-local and “daughter-in-law” of Pakistan. K. Laxman, BJP’s floor leader, alleged that the ruling TRS did this to appease minorities in view of the coming elections to the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation(GHMC) and alleged that all actions of TRS in last 50 days of rule are to appease muslims. The BJP leaders opined that brand ambassador should have been a local and pointed out that Sania was born in Maharashtra and then came to Hyderabad in 1986, and chose to marry Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik in 2010. The logo & badge designed by Laxman Aley for Telangana police was officially approved by the chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and DGP Anurag Sharma. The Telangana police received as many as 2,000 logos, out of which, Laxman’s is finalised. We have posted earlier when the logo was finalized. “It was a very tough time for me to design the logo. CM KCR Nominated By Centre To Represent Southern States!

The Central government has nominated Telangana CM KCR as the Vice Chairman of Southern Zonal Council. Union Home Minster Rajnath Singh is nominated as the Chairman. The Southern Zonal Council, comprises the States of  Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and the Union Territory of Puducherry. Tamil Nadu chief minister Jayalalitha was the Vice-Chairman for an year till 10 July, 2014 and KCR is nominated to succeed her, retrospectively, from 11 July, 2014 and his term will be for 1 year. The Vice-Chairman post is taken by rotation by all member states for 1 year. Telangana Chief Minister KCR on Tuesday assured that his government would introduce a first-of-kind industrial policy with international standards wherein investors would be able to start their businesses in Telangana in shortest possible time in the country. Interacting with the industrialists associated with FICCI, CII, FAPCCI and other industry bodies here, KCR said that the new policy, to be unveiled in next month, would be very friendly to industries. Telangana Wants To Buy Out Centre’s Stake To Wholly Own Singareni

The Telangana government is keen to acquire 51 per cent stake owned by the central government in Singareni Collieries Company Ltd (SCCL). Telangana, just like some other states, is reeling under severe coal shortage which it needs to overcome to be self-reliant in power in next 3 years, as per its plans. Owning the company wholly would mean Telangana gets full control over the coal it produces, which it can use for it’s own needs.
