Not Safe For Telangana CM To Visit Guntur – KTR

Telangana IT minister didn’t beat round the bush when asked in an interview if KCR would attend Naidu’s swearing-in ceremony in Guntur. KTR who is busy articulating the plans of Telangana State, especially in IT, last few days in meetings with who-is-who of Hyderabad’s IT clearly told KCR would not attend and in a matter-of-fact tone added that it is not safe for the newly-formed Telangana State’s CM to travel to Guntur after the acrimonious division. Without sounding politically correct, he said the relations between 2 states are strained at the moment and implied it would need a cooling off period before such travel engagements can be worked out.

Dr T. Rajaiah Takes Charge As Deputy CM; Makes Surprise Inspection Of Gandhi Hospital

Dr T. Rajaiah, who assumed office as Deputy Chief Minister with Health & Medical portfolio on Saturday, put his first signature on the file relating to up-gradation of MGM Children Hospital in Warangal into 120 bedded ICU Hospital. He also sanctioned a 50 bed hospital to Nangunuru in Medak district. Later, the Deputy Chief Minister made a surprise inspection of Gandhi Hospital in Secunderabad. After inspecting facilities and environment in the hospital, Rajaiah exhorted the doctors to discharge their functions diligently to the satisfaction of the people. CM KCR submitted a list of 14 demands for Telangana State development to Prime Minister Narendra Modi today in New Delhi. Their meeting lasted for 45 minutes during which KCR submitted 14 separate memorandums to the Prime Minister giving details of the 14 demands and how crucial they are for Telangana. In addition to these demands, KCR demanded rollback of the Polavaram Ordinance & alter project design before commencing the project. Govt. To Identify All Habitations Not Covered BY Protected Water Supply Schemes

Only about 41.20 per cent of the inhabitations in Telangana State have been covered so far under rural water supply (RWS) schemes, and of the total of 27,129 habitations in the State, 13,156 do not have adequate drinking water supply. Around 1847 habitations have fluoride problem and need to be addressed at the earliest. These facts were brought out at a review meeting held by the Minister for Pancyahati Raj and Rural Development, K T Rama Rao, with the senior officials. The Minister wanted the department to take all out steps to identify all habitations which have not been covered under any of the PWS (protected water supply) schemes.
