Telangana Govt. Says NITHM Ownership Is A Closed Chapter

The National Institute of Tourism and Hospitality Management (NITHM) located in Hyderabad will be managed by Telangana Government, declared a press release on behalf of Chief Secretary Dr Rajiv Sharma. NITHM is a registered society for Tourism and Hospitality Management, Training and Research established by State Government with the help of Ministry of Tourism, Government of India. “As per the AP Reorganization Act 2014, section 75, the institute is listed at Sl.No.100 in 10th schedule. The institute is situated in Hyderabad and as per the provisions of the Act, the institute which is physically located in Telangana will be managed by Telangana state where it is located. Telangana MSOs Say Centre Has No Right Interfering In Their Cable Business

Telangana MSOs replied to the notice issued by Telecom Regulatory Authority of India that they had to stop telecast of ABN and TV9 bowing to public pressure over their hurt sentiments. Earlier, the TRAI sought explanation on why MSOs had stopped the two channels without the mandatory 15-day notice. After a meeting on Monday, MSOs told media persons that they are not afraid of Centre’s pressure and will go to any extent to fight for their rights. They accused the Centre of issuing orders for ABN and TV9, at the behest of AP Government and Andhra businessmen, while maintaining silence on ban of v6 and TNews in AP. TRS MPs To Question Centre In Parliament On Hyd Law & Order

Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao today held a meeting with TRS Party MPs and discussed the strategy to be adapted in Parliament on Monday to tackle Centre’s moves on Hyderabad. He also met Keshava Rao & Jithender Reddy, the party’s floor leaders in Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha for over 2 hours on availing all opportunities to handle the issue. The MPs would reportedly meet the PM and the home minister to convey the state’s concerns over the issue, once again, in a last ditch attempt. Telangana’s Women Entrepreneurs Form ALETS

The bifurcation of AP meant that Telangana has now got it’s own association of lady entrepreneurs. Association of Lady Entrepreneurs of Telangana State (ALETS) was launched on Saturday by a group of successful entrepreneurs in the state to empower women. “Women, especially those in rural areas, are very industrious and have a lot of ideas. We will go and give them guidance in business planning, capacity building, marketing awareness through linkages,” said M Sarita Reddy, founder-president of ALETS. Earlier, there was an Association of Lady Entrepreneurs of Andhra Pradesh (ALEAP) established in 1993.  That group which is based in Yousufguda, Hyderabad has already started limiting it’s activities to residuary AP.
