Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao unveiled the new logo of Telangana state police at the Secretariat on Tuesday. He also put on the newly designed badges onto the top officer’s uniforms on the occasion.  According to an official release, the logo was finalised after two rounds of scrutiny by senior police officials and a team of Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI) from hundreds of designs. Telangana Education Department will issue a notification pertaining to EAMCET 2014 Counseling today. This was stated by Telangana State Council of Higher Education Chairman Papi Reddy. “The admission process will be completed before the end of this month as ordered by the Supreme Court.” he added. Mr. Papi Reddy said they will begin the process of the certificate verification from tomorrow and will complete it on Aug 23. He said that the admission process, including web counselling, would be completed in coordination with the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) by August 31. Telangana State Government on Tuesday declared a public holiday on Aug 19 on the account of Intensive Household Survey. In an official release, Chief Minister’s Office noted that all government offices, private firms and business establishments will remain shut on the day. The Government requested all firms to cooperate with the Government by shutting down and enabling the survey.
