Bandaru Talks About Telangana’s Drought In Lok Sabha

Former Union minister and BJP MP from Secunderabad Bandaru Dattatraya today urged the Union government to send a Central team to assess the drought situation in Telangana State and also to provide immediate relief to the farmers. Participating in the discussion on drought in the Lok Sabha, Dattatreya, who represents Secunderabad in Parliament, sought additional 1000 MW power from the unallocated power to Telangana State to rescue the farm sector. “The farmers should be given additional loans on low interest rate and seed to cultivate alternative crops during this khariff season. Along with these temporary measures, the Centre should also take permanent measures for the benefit of the agriculture sector as Telangana is a drought prone State. KCR Advises Yellow Media Against Propaganda Journalism

Telangana Chief Minister KCR requested reporters not to confuse and mislead people with “propaganda journalism” and ask the government about the schemes and policies it is planning before writing about them. He wondered how sections of media can go on spinning everything against the Government and suggested those sections of media to change it’s attitude. Govt. Issues GO For Survey Of Palamuru-Rangareddy Project

Quick on the heels of the CM’s decision to survey for the twin projects of Palamuru and Jurala, the Telangana State Govt. issues GO on Friday allotting the funds for the Palamuru-Rangareddy lift irrigation project. The GO said that sanction is accorded to the Chief Engineer(Projects), Mahabubnagar for entrustment of work of preparation of Detailed Project Report for Palamuru Lift Irrigation Scheme, involving detailed investigation, designing of electro- mechanical works, preparation of estimates and R&R plans etc., to Engineering Staff College of India on nomination basis for an amount of Rs.5,71,22,488 and that the agency shall complete the work within three months.

58%:42% – Chandrababu Proposes, KCR Disposes

Telangana Chief Minister KCR has rejected the attempt of his Andhra Pradesh counterpart N Chandrababu Naidu to make Telangana share the burden of the fee reimbursement scheme. Reacting to Naidu’s offer that Andhra Pradesh would bear 58 per cent of the scheme if Telangana paid 42 per cent of the fees, KCR said that it was not possible. He said that the Telangana government will follow the guidelines of the Supreme Court on this issue. Karnataka Showers Sops On Hero Motors To Pocket It’s 2 Wheeler Plant Project

A determined Karnataka Govt. has announced many sops to Hero Motors to entice it to set up it’s 6th plant in the state. Earlier, the motor company was actively considering Telangana for the location after it’s initial talks with Karnataka enter a deadlock, over setting up a plant in Dharwad. Then, Hero asked Karnataka for 500 acres of land as well as additional land for for units to house its 40 vendors, as we reported. Karnataka then was reluctant but now has accepted that along with a host of other tax incentives, making an irresistible offer to Hero.
