207 Andhra Employees Fake their way Into The List of 805 Telangana Employees!

The Secretariat Telangana Employees Association (STEA) has raised serious objections over categorization of 207 officials as having origin in Telangana and demanded review of the entire process of division of employees. The objections came within a day of AP Govt. releasing a list of 1,865 Secretariat employees which categorized 1050 employees as that of Andhra and 805 that of Telangana. After giving a representation to general administration department (GAD) secretary SK Sinha, who promised review of the violations, the Association threatened any attempt to bulldoze their concerns would be met with complete boycott of the employees who faked their nativity. The AP Govt. on Tuesday released a list of 1,865 Secretariat employees, from the cadre of additional secretary to DR&T assistant in all the departments, clearly specifying their “local status.” The top-priority memo issues along with this list asked for objections over status delcared by any of the employees to be conveyed to a Dy. Secretary. Power distribution finalized between AP and Telangana

Power distribution has been finalized between AP and Telangana. There would be a re-alignment of the electricity distribution utilities in Telangana and AP. In 2000, the State un-bundled electricity distribution into four utilities – Eastern Power Distribution Company (APEPDCL), Southern Electricity Distribution Company, Northern Power Distribution Company (APNPDCL) and Central Power Distribution Company (APCPDCL). At present, the Central Power Distribution utility is the biggest. However, two districts – Ananthapur and Kurnool – are shifted to SPDCL.Power distribution shared between various DisComs would be – CPDCL – 38% NPDCL – 15% EPDCL – 17% SPDCL – 30%. Keeping in view the power consumption, AP gets 47% and Telangana gets 53%.

After TRS, Now Congress opposes shared office space for two states

Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president and former minister Ponnala Laxmaiah today requested Andhra Pradesh Governor ESL Narasimhan not to locate the offices of the two governments in the existing Secretariat complex as it would lead to complications. In a letter addressed to the Governor, he suggested that the existing Secretariat complex and the offices of the heads of departments be left to the government of Telangana while finding an alternative location for the government of residuary state of AP within the common capital region. “It is our view that such sharing of office space between two successor states would result in several complications and a separate accommodation may be provided to the residuary state of AP at a different location,” ...

Telangana to have 163 IAS, 112 IPS posts

A central-government appointed committee has recommended 163 posts of IAS, 112 of IPS and 65 of Indian Forest Service (IFoS) officers for newly-formed Telangana state. The composition of three all India services was recommended by a six-member committee headed by former Central Vigilance Commissioner (CVC) Pratyush Sinha in its preliminary report to the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT). Of these posts, 114 posts of IAS officers, 78 of IPS and 46 of IFoS are kept in direct recruitment category, the report said.
