TELANGANA ELECTRICITY EMPLOYEES’ JOINT ACTION COMMITTEE (TEEJAC) has made a comprehensive representation to the Principal Secretary (Energy) Suresh Chanda summing up all the losses Telangana has incurred due to AP’s non-compliance with the Power Allocation formula decided by the AP Re-Organization Act. The Co-ordinator of TEEJAC K. Raghu has furnished facts and figures and proved that Telangana is losing 21 Million Units immediately and a total of 31.5 Million Units in the long term. ERC Wilts Under Pressure; Says Only Centre Can Resolve PPA Controversy

After repeated directions by the load dispatch centres, the APERCs and the Central ERC to AP to maintain status quo regarding the power PPAs fell on deaf ears, the whole PPA cancellation gameplan by AP is heading towards a political settlement at the Centre.   One of the most lasting legacies of the Deccan has been the water management policy formulated by the Kakatiya dynasty, which relied mainly on small tanks for its irrigation and drinking water requirements. There was a time when the Telangana countryside boasted of thousands of tanks which ensured a perennial supply of water for settlements across the region. Telangana Awaits Centre’s Next Move On Hyderabad’s Law & Order

After registering it’s strong protest with the Centre on the circular issued by Union Home Ministry regarding giving the Governor overriding powers over it in issues related to Hyderabad’s law & order, the Telangana Government is awaiting Centre’s next move on the issue. The Telangana chief secretary Rajeev Sharma on Monday wrote back to the Union home ministry stating that the circular is a clear-cut infringement on the powers of the elected government.
