Medak To Get Central Institute of Plastics Engineering & Technology (CIPET)

The Union Minister for Fertilisers and Chemicals Ananth Kumar said that very soon, financial sanction for setting up a new Central Institute of Plastics Engineering & Technology (CIPET) campus over a 20-acre spread in Rudraram of Medak district at a cost of Rs. 50 crore would be accorded. It would take students intake up from the current 2,500 to about 5,000 in about two years, he said, to applause. It would be the biggest CIPET campus in country. He was speaking after inaugurating the international plastics exhibition. Hyderabad already boasts of a basic CIPET learning centre that trains 2,750 students. In his keynote address, Dr K Pradeep Chandra, IAS, Special Chief Secretary, Industries & Commerce Department, Government of Telangana, sought Partnership between the Large Manufacturing Companies and Micro & Small Manufacturing Enterprises to bring out and innovative ecosystem in the manufacturing sector. “The Japanese system of “Just in Time Delivery” was successful by involving the vendors and service providers in the innovation value chain by the larger manufacturing companies. CM KCR on Saturday shot off a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi rejecting the Ministry of Home Affairs’ letter’s proposals to the State Government on Friday handing over state subjects of law & order to the Governor. The CM pointed out that bypassing the council of ministers by the Governor, as suggested by the letter, is neither sanctioned by the Constitution nor the AP Reorganisation Act. The CM doubted if the PM knew about the contents of the letter. Mahindra To Set Up Dhruv Tractor Manufacturing Plant With Rs 300 Cr

Mahindra and Mahindra chief executive Pravin Shah on Saturday met Telangana state Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao at the Secretariat and offered to set up a manufacturing plant in Zaheerabad for Dhruv tractors with an investment of over Rs 300 crore. Mahindra has been running Asia’s largest tractor manufacturing plant in Zaheerabad. The CM assured him that the government will provide all the facilities for setting up the plant at the earliest. CM also urged Mr Shah to come out with proposals to make Hyderabad, a pollution-free city, by manufacturing battery-run vehicles along the lines of those in developed countries. Telangana May Lose Vikarabad, Tandur & Zaheerabad To New Gulbarga Rly Division!

While Telangana has been demanding the railway division at Kazipet for years now, the Centre which gave nothing in the railway budget despite Telangana now being a separate state, is now moving to take Telangana areas in Secunderabad division from south central railway and attach them to the Gulbarga division it is planning to set up! The Gulbarga division is likeley to come up under South Western Railways. The areas SCR is bound to lose are important stations like Vikarabad, Tandur and Zaheerabad will be transferred to Gulbarga.
