BJP confirms alliance with TDP and gets 8 LS seats and 45 assembly seats in Telangana!

The BJP-TDP-Loksatta electoral alliance in the state has been formalized and an announcement on it is likely to be made on Friday or Saturday. As per the seat sharing arrangement finalized by BJP national spokesperson Prakash Javadekar, TDP Rajya Sabha MPs Sujana Chowdhary and CM Ramesh and the Loksatta representative in Hyderabad on Thursday, the TDP will give the BJP 8 Lok Sabha seats and 45 assembly seats in Telangana while Loksatta’s JP will contest the Malkajgiri Lok Sabha seat and perhaps three or four assembly seats in Telangana. Telangana PCC regains control of Gandhi Bhavan after 58 years

After a gap of almost 58 years, Gandhi Bhavan, the Congress party headquarters, is going back to the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee. The Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee will function from a swanky multi-storied Indira Bhavan building on the Gandhi Bhavan premises from Saturday. With two PCCs in place, the Congress leadership decided to have separate entities as well as premises. Initially, it was thought that the APCC office would function from the present old building and Telangana PCC would shift to the new building.
