Mahindra To Set Up Dhruv Tractor Manufacturing Plant With Rs 300 Cr

Mahindra and Mahindra chief executive Pravin Shah on Saturday met Telangana state Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao at the Secretariat and offered to set up a manufacturing plant in Zaheerabad for Dhruv tractors with an investment of over Rs 300 crore. Mahindra has been running Asia’s largest tractor manufacturing plant in Zaheerabad.

The CM assured him that the government will provide all the facilities for setting up the plant at the earliest.

CM also urged Mr Shah to come out with proposals to make Hyderabad, a pollution-free city, by manufacturing battery-run vehicles along the lines of those in developed countries. There should be battery-recharge stations along the lines of petrol pumps, to make the system work, the CM added. He assured the government will provide all the support if any company comes forward to take up the project.

The Chief Minister told Mr Shah that the Telangana government is all set to unveil its new industrial policy soon which will be the best in the country, on the lines of RTI, with single-window clearance as a right for investors with all qualifications and capital.
