Minister Harish Determined To Restore Lakes & Water Bodies For Farm Irrigation

Telangana State Government is focusing fully on restoring old lakes and water bodies as an immediate task to rescue farm cultivation in rural pockets.In a joint meeting with CM KCR and collectors, Irrigation Minister, T Harish Rao directed the officials concerned to initiate steps to renovate all water bodies on war-footing. It is the time for district officials to refurbish all the tanks, lakes and water bodies to boost up irrigation facilities in villages. Telangana Declares PV’s Birth Anniversary A State Function

As we reported earlier about this, the Government of Telangana declared birth anniversary celebrations of late P.V. Narasimha Rao, former Prime Minster, as State function this year. The Principal Secretary to Government (Political Affairs) Ajay Misra declared this and reviewed special arrangements that are being made for celebrating the 93rd birth anniversary of P.V. CCI Adilabad Unit Hopes For A Miracle

Workers and employees of the Adilabad unit of the Cement Corporation of India are now hoping that the Chief Minister will take the lead to get the unit reopened with his efforts at Centre. The unit was closed in 1998 but the employees say in view of the rich limestone deposits in the area, the unit would have good future if reopened and run well. The CCI unit was commissioned in January 1984 with a production capacity of 1,200 tonnes off cement per day at a cost of Rs.35 crore in an extent of 774 acres including the quarry. Sircilla & Warangal To Get Textile Parks; Azam Jahi Mills Land To Be Utilized Again

Telangana government is planning to set up textile parks in Warangal district and Sircilla in Karimnagar district. These would be modelled on the textile park in Tirupur in Tamil Nadu. For the Warangal textile park, the land belonging to the defunct Azam Jahi Mills will be utilized, and if necessary more land may be acquired, the Telangana CM seem to have suggested. CM KCR To Lay Foundation Stone For TATA’s Manufacturing Unit For Dornier Aircraft

Tata Advanced Systems Ltd would announce a partnership with RUAG Aviation to manufacture the Dornier 228 Fuselage and Wing at an event in Hyderabad tomorrow. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao would be the chief guest at the ground-breaking ceremony of the Tata’s new aerospace project for manufacture of Dornier 228 with RUAG (Germany), an official release said here today. Telangana IT and Panchayat Raj Minister K T Rama Rao, S Ramadorai, Chairman of Tata Advanced Systems Ltd, and senior officials of RUAG Aviation would be present on the occasion, it said.
