NSL Brings Telangana’s 1st Foreign Investment Of 1000 Cr

As we reported yesterday, NSL Consolidated Ltd, the Australian Coal & Iron mining firm, is investing in Telangana for an Iron Ore plant. The company’s Chief Operating Officer Sean Freeman met the CM with his team and explained their plans to setup Iron pellet plants in Karimnagar & Siddipet. They submitted plans to invest Rs 1000 Cr in 1st phase. Eventually, NSL want to setup a steel plant in the location feeding on the available Iron Ore, with an additional investment of Rs 1500 Cr. 2000 jobs would be created immediately when the project commences, as per officials. Now, Bonalu & Heritage Weekend Tour Packages From Telangana Tourism Corp.

With Bonalu being declared as the state festival of the newly formed Telangana, the State Tourism Development Corporation has launched Hyderabad Bonalu weekend package tours to Secunderabad Ujjaini Mahakali Temple and Darbar Maisamma Temple, Lal Darwaza. The tours operate on every Sunday. “We have taken this initiative to create awareness about the festival and also allow people to witness the biggest festival of Telangana,” said P Purander, an official of the  Tourism Development Corporation. “We plan to organising these tours every year for the convenience of people and tourists who visit Hyderabad for the first time,” he added. The ICT (Information and Communications Technology) industry of the newly carved Telangana state put forth the industry growth recommendations to the state government. The recommendations are aimed at taking the industry to one million level in five years from the present base of 400,000 direct employees. These recommendations, presented at the industry round table with Information Technology minister KT Rama Rao on Friday, were stated to have arrived at think-tank meetings held over past two weeks collectively by all organizations representing different facets of the IT industry. A strong civil society activism and a base that had been built up during the separate Telangana movement should be sustained to ensure that the state government delivers on its promises, TJAC chairman Prof M Kodandaram has said. Telangana Govt. To Set Up TASK To Make Engg. Students Readily Employable

Identifying the fact that most of the engineering graduates lack readily employable skills, the government of Telangana has decided to set up Telangana Academy of Skill and Knowledge (Task) to impart skills during their course period itself, with the help of IT companies. Under TASK, the IT companies would be requested to impart employable skills by selecting some students each as part of their corporate social responsibility (CSR). The idea is to make the engineering graduates readily employable by the time they complete the four-year academic course. Incubation centres Minister for Information Technology K.T.
