KCR Pays A Surprise Visit & Fulfills Wish Of An Ailing 11 Year Old

Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has made a big fan of him feel very special, with his kind gesture on Thursday. He fulfilled the wish of a 11 year old boy, who is struggling with a rare heart disease in the Apollo Hospital, by visiting him at Apollo Hospitals, where he is undergoing treatment. Eleven-years old Konda Sharat of Narmetta mandal of Warangal district has been suffering from heart disease since his birth. He was operated upon in 2005 but never quire recovered as the problems resurfaced. His parents admitted him into Apollo Hospital for treatment. ‘Happening Hyderabad’ Campaign Launched: 52 Events In 52 Weeks!!

Telangana tourism department, in association with the departments of IT, ITES and industries, launched ‘Happening Hyderabad’ campaign with an aim to promote Hyderabad as a truly global and cosmopolitan city.  Telangana government today launched the annual campaign that will focus on year-round events in the city. The campaign kickstarts State Govt’s calendar of yearly events and Hyderabad henceforth will host 52 events in 52 weeks all round the year. “For a city to thrive, it just cannot flourish on industry and IT or any specific industry as that matter.. we need a city that is vibrant and have something to offer (events) every week.” said IT Minister KTR. “For a city like Hyderabad to emerge and to actually become a truly international ...

Kamalnathan committee met yesterday for finalising the guidelines for the distribution of State-level employees between Andhra Pradesh and Telangana in its meeting. The Chief Secretaries of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana — I.Y.R. Krishna Rao and Rajiv Sharma — respectively gave their dissent notes with regard to certain provisions in draft guidelines 18(f) and 18 (n) and other issues. Telangana officials have raised serious concerns with regard to 18(f) which said in the event of more posts than the ‘local candidátes’ in a cadre in one State, those from other States would be allotted to those posts on the basis of reverse order of seniority. Amazon’s Biggest Facility Outside Seattle To Come Up In Hyderabad

E-commerce giant Amazon is building its biggest facility outside of its corporate headquarters in Seattle. Only two weeks ago, its Chief Executive Officer Jeff Bezos announced an investment of $2 billion in India. Hyderabad will get a chunk of that in form of  a 1.6-million square feet centre in Hyderabad. It may come up on 10 acres at Gachibowli and may house 12,500 employees. “We are waiting for statutory permissions. The moment we receive them we will begin work. We hope to complete the project by 2018. New Rs 1600 Cr DRDO Unit In Nagarjuna Sagar To Manufacture Underwater Systems

Telangana government will provide land, power and water to the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) for setting up a unit at Nagarjuna Sagar in Nalgonda. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao held a review with ministers and officials on Wednesday concerned here on the issue, a release from his office said. 100 Acres has been sanctioned for the project. DRDO plans testing and manufacture of critical components and subsystems of underwater systems which operate in  harsh sea water environment.  Presently there is a field testing in Nagarjuna Sagar to subject the systems to extreme hydrostatic pressure conditions. DRDO wont test these sub assemblies etc., straight away at sea as loss of such system during trials would result in massive losses.
