Medak Accident Toll Rises To 18; 3 More In Critical Condition

11 year old Vaishnavi who was critically injured in the Medak train-bus collision on July 24, succumbed to her injuries on Tuesday. 18 children passed away in the incident.

Two children, Prashanth and Varun are in very critical condition, while another kid Sharath, who suffured a major lung injury, is in the critical ward under close observation. All kids are aged around 7.

Six children Nabira Fathima (9), Darshan Goud (6), Harish (7), Sirisha (8), Sravani (6), and Nithusha (7) have improved and have been shifted to the general ward. 7 more kids have been discharged after recovering. Despite being discharged, some families are reluctant to go back to their villages due to lack of proper medical facilities and transportation.
