Kummuri Balayya was the regular driver of the ill-fated AP 23X 5349 school bus of Kakatiya Techno School and he drove that bus for 4 months before he took a day off on July 24. Medak Accident Toll Rises To 18; 3 More In Critical Condition

11 year old Vaishnavi who was critically injured in the Medak train-bus collision on July 24, succumbed to her injuries on Tuesday. 18 children passed away in the incident. Two children, Prashanth and Varun are in very critical condition, while another kid Sharath, who suffured a major lung injury, is in the critical ward under close observation. All kids are aged around 7. Six children Nabira Fathima (9), Darshan Goud (6), Harish (7), Sirisha (8), Sravani (6), and Nithusha (7) have improved and have been shifted to the general ward. 7 more kids have been discharged after recovering. Despite being discharged, some families are reluctant to go back to their villages due to lack of proper medical facilities and transportation.

Harish Rao Hands Over Exgratia To Victims Of Train Accident

Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao today handed over exgratia of Rs 5 lakh, Rs 2 lakh on behalf of the State Government and Railways to the 14 families of those deceased in Masaipet Rail accident.  Along with Deputy Speaker Padma Devender Reddy he met the victims’ families and consoled them. After realizing a mix-up in identifying bodies of kids who died in Medak train tragedy, the body of a six-year-old boy, Dattu, one of the victims of Thursday’s tragic school bus-train collision in Telangana’s Medak district, is exhumed and handed over to his parents Veera Babu and Neeraja of Islampur village. The body of Dattu was mistaken as that of Danush alias Darshan Goud and handed over to the latter’s parents on Thursday when a shell-shocked father Swamy Goud assumed it is his son.
