Actor Nagarjuna got relief from any further action against his N Convention Center in Madhapur, Hyderabad. Hyderabad High Court granted stay, as per his plea, on any further action GHMC maybe contemplating against the Centre which is deemed to have encroached upon more than 3 acres of an adjoining lake. Nagarjuna leased the Centre and the leaseholder too filed a lunch motion petition in HC on Monday.
He filed a case in the High Court against GHMC authorities for fixing the FTL of the Tammidi Kunta lake abutting his N Convention Centre, without issuing a notice to the promoters of the Center. Hence, he contended the survey and the subsequent marking as illegal. Government counsel argued notices are issued before an action is taken and not when authorities are doing their duties. The High Court listed this case and the case filed by the lease-holder of the centre for hearing on Tuesday while granting an interim stay on any further action against N Convention, till Thursday, as per the actor’s plea. The GHMC, revenue and irrigation departments are issues orders to this effect.
