The helpline setup by Telangana Government received around a 100 calls in the first few hours from anxious families of those who are working in Iraq. Almost all of them are workers engaged in construction industry. However, there details can not be verified with embassy in Iraq as they are unregistered and didn’t complete due formalities. Workers who returned from Iraq recently say there are around 1000 workers in Kurdistan, which is a safer place than Mosul, which is presently in severe strife. Mr. Michael Mullins, the Consul General of the U.S. Consulate General Hyderabad met Chief Minister KCR yesterday in the Secretariat. The visit is termed a courtesy visit to get in touch with the new Government in Telangana. Earlier in June, The political and economic affairs officer of United States consulate, Travis Coberly called on Information Technology Minister K.T. Rama Rao in his chambers at the Secretariat. K.T. During a review meeting on preparations for Bonaalu, Ramzan festivals at Secretariat here today, Chief Minister KCR has taken a decision to accord state honor to both Bathukamma and Bonaalu. Addressing a press conference along with Information and Public Relations Commissioner Chandravadan at Secretarait here, Excise Minister Padma Rao said that the government has allotted adequate funds for the festivals. CM KCR kept his word that he would take along all parties in important decisions and  called an all-party meeting today to discuss and review students fee reimbursement programme. The meeting would be attended by  representatives of all parties along with ministers today at 6 PM.
