Centre’s AIIMS-Like Institute To Come Up In Nizamabad

CM K Chandrasekhar Rao has announced that the AIIMS Like hospital that the Centre is planning to allot to each State would come up in Telangana, at Nizamabad. He made the announcement while touring Nizamabad yesterday. After a protracted debate, Telangana MPs could wrest a promise from Union Health Minister Dr. Harsha Vardhan that even Telangana would be considered for an AIIMS like institution. Mahindra Group Partners With École Centrale Paris For Engineering College In Hyderabad

Yet another feather has been added to Hyderabad, the home of many a prestigious institutions of higher learning. The Mahindra group has partnered with Ecole Centrale Paris, the famous 200-year-old engineering education institute of France and launched the Mahindra Ecole Centrale (MEC) Engineering College in the outskirts of Hyderabad, at Bahadurpally Jeedimetla. The college began with its first batch of 240 students. The college admits through JEE rankings and a counseling session. For international students, a valid score in SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test) is mandatory for admission in the program.The college has the facility and infrastructure to take in up to 500 students a year and Mahindra has plans to get there in coming years. TS Forces Godavari Board To Look Into AP’s Violations Over Sharing Of Sileru, Machkund & Donkarayi Power

The Telangana government has successfully forced the Godavari River Management Board to consider power sharing issues that rose after AP stopped sharing information of power generation at Upper & Lower Sileru, Machkund and Donkarayi power plants along river Godavari.
