JP loses deposit in Malkajgiri LS contest & LSP loses deposits everywhere, including Kukatpally!

lsp jp

Intellectual Jayaprakash Narayan fell short of 1,10,000 votes to secure his deposit and lost it. Far from being the front runner, JP just managed to beat YSRCP’s Dinesh Reddy and end up in 4th position in Malkajgiri Lok Sabha with 1,58,000 votes. 2,70,000 votes, which is 1/6 of total votes polled, are required to secure deposit in Malkajgiri. TDP’s Malla Reddy got 5,23,336 votes compared to TRS candidate’s 4,94,965 and won in a close contest by over 28,000 votes. JP was nowhere near the top candidates in any of the 7 assembly segments. JP’s unethical strategy to attract BJP votes for his own victory at the cost of LSP’s assembly contestants in 7 assembly segments of Malkajgiri Lok Sabha worked ...

KCR: The man with unbending will

kcr rayalatelangana bandh

When he floated the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) in 2001, the political circuit scoffed at him. Detractors made light of his ‘mission Telangana’ and were almost certain that his dream project would fall flat. Cut to May 16, 2014 and this adamant, individualistic Kalvakuntla Chandrasekhar Rao is all set to don the mantle of the first chief minister of Telangana, the 29th state of India. He has not only convincingly won from the Gajwel Assembly constituency in Medak district, by a margin of 19,391 votes over his TDP rival Pratap Reddy, but has pocketed the Medak Lok Sabha seat by a neat margin of 3,97,029 votes. Clearly, KCR has managed to silence all who doubted him and his objective – ...

TRS set to capture Hitech Hyderabad – winning Chevella LS

hitech

TRS, the Telangana champion always projected as limited to 2 districts in Northern Telangana is set to announce it’s arrival tomorrow with unmistakable pomp by capturing heartland of Hyderabad in tomorrow’s results. Chevella Lok Sabha, which contains the IT hubs in Madhapur, Hitec City, Kondapur thru Gachibowli is almost in TRS pocket. Andhra media always projected TRS as an aggressive agitation party that could hurt ‘Brand Hyderabad’. This was despite repeated assertions from TRS that it would not do anything to force Industry, especially IT companies, to toe any line in support of the Telangana movement. Even at the height of the Telangana movement, this IT borough in Hyderabad had seen no forced disruptions due to the strikes and bandhs. ...

Rudderless Congress in Telangana may end up with just 2 LS seats, TRS may score 10!

SoniaGandhi_TelanganaRally_PTI

Even as the Telangana Congressmen call the press and voice their confidence in forming the first Telangana State Government with an alliance of Congress, MIM and CPI, things could not get worse for them in the just concluded elections. While the likes of Ponnala Lakshmiah, Jana Reddy, D Srinivas project themselves as possible 1st CM of Telangana State, it is now clearer that Congress has almost no chance of forming a Government even if it gains the support of MIM and CPI as there seems to be no possibility of Congress winning even 40 Assembly seats. Even the Telangana Congress MPs who were better off on than the MLAs in taking part in the Telangana agitation are finding it hard ...

Will BJP get more MLAs in Telangana than the MIM !?

pavan kalyan telangana

Telangana activists are seething with anger over Pawan Kalyan’s remarks on KCR and TRS yesterday and BJP may end up paying badly this election for the choices it made in alliance and campaigns. After stitching an alliance with anti-Telangana TDP which was seen as a political suicide, BJP in Telangana seems to have completely lost the plot. The alliance limited BJP’s contest to 40 odd seats in Telangana. The conflict and confusion between TDP and BJP delayed the alliance from percolating to grassroots levels and cast doubts over whether the votes would transfer from one party’s followers to another’s. Meanwhile, Kishan Reddy admitted into Telangana BJP actors like Suresh and Jeevitha. Suresh, whose anti-Telangana vitriol is viral on social media ...
