Director General of Police Sri. Anurag Sharma with his team made a presentation today at Secretariat to the Honorable Chief Minister on the new vehicle designs for Police Department. Various designs of vehicles proposed to be procured by the department are shown to the CM. After eliciting views of all those present in the meeting the CM selected two models of cars one meant for Law and order patrolling and another for Traffic and Highway patrolling. The blue model with police logo is for law and order and the other is for highway patrolling. Acharya Jayashankar & PV Narasimha Rao Get Universities Named After Them

Telangana government has issued GOs as per Act 6 of AP Reorganization Act bifurcating the 50-year-old Acharya NG Ranga Agricultural University (ANGRAU), Hyderabad and the Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University, Tirupati. The Telangana units of both the universities are named after Professor Jayashankar and PV Narasimha Rao respectively. Late Prof Jayashankar, who stood for the Telangana movement throughout his life got a small tribute by getting a university named after him. The agricultural university, is named as ‘Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University’. In a separate GO, the government said the Veterinary University, to be formed following the bifurcation of Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University, Tirupati, would be named as ‘Sri P V Narasimha Rao Telangana State University for Veterinary, Animal and Fisheries Sciences’. Hyderabad The 3rd Best In Hiring Across All Sectors, As Per ASSOCHAM

Hyderabad is picking up pace in hiring in recent months according to a survey done by The Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM) for Jan-June 2014 period.  Hyderabad especially picked up in IT, Healthcare, Banking & Pharma  industries. In terms of growth in hiring, compared to same period last year, Hyderabad, which reported a 32% increase, is 3rd best city, just behind Delhi-NCR region with an impressive 54% and Bangalore which clocked 38%. Interestingly, Chennai and Mumbai recorded a drop of 15% and 28%, respectively, driving home the point that it is not just the upward moments in financial markets around the world that is making a turnaround in the business mood. CM KCR Sanctions Rs 8.76 Cr To Survey For His Twin Dream Projects

Massive Pipes In Lift Irrigation Projects

After a 7 year delay, Palamuru-Rangareddy lift irrigation project made it’s 1st step towards survey, thanks to Telangana’s own government now. While on paper, Rs 7 Cr was sanctioned for surveying for this project in erstwhile AP, nothing happened then. The Telangana government has released Rs 8.76 crore for conducting surveys and preparing detailed project reports (DPRs) for the Palamuru lift irrigation and Jurala-Pakala projects. The two are chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s dream projects for which sufficient funds will be allocated in the first budget to be presented in the state legislative Assembly in September. When asked about the large scale vandalism done by AP police at the old Special Intelligence Branch (SIB) premises, the office of Andhra Pradesh Director-General of Police JV Ramudu on Wednesday brushed them aside terming the news baseless and factually incorrect. The SIB building which was occupied by the AP Greyhounds was recently allotted to Telangana chief minister KCR’s visitors and security officials. The AP police vacated the building but only after a revenge show there, practically making the office unusable by removing doors, windows and rendering the electrical wiring useless by cutting it randomly. Pictures of vandalism were all over papers yesterday, including here in Telangana Talkies. If the news is baseless, then where did the pictures come from? ...
