Telangana To Host A Mega Industrialists’ Summit On July 22nd

Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao will host a mega industrialists’ meet on July 22 in the city to devise a ‘zero corruption industrial policy’ for Telangana state.

Invitations have been sent to nearly 50 industry bodies and industrialists across India for the meeting, though the Telangana government is yet to receive confirmation from top corporate houses on their participation.

Invitations were sent to national industry bodies like FICCI, CII, Assocham, and Nasscom etc., besides heads of top corporate firms like Tata, Reliance, Godrej, Micr-osoft India, Infosys, Wipro, Mahindra, ITC and Hero MotoCorp.

The CM already announced that a special chasing cell would be set up exclusively in his office for expediting clearances by industries within two weeks. He said the single window clearance would be one of it’s kind in India.

Meanwhile, The CM said to a visiting US delegation Hyderabad, led by Arun Kumar, US Assistant Secretary for Global Markets, Department of Commerce, that about 3 lakh acres of land would be made available to prospective industrialists in Telangana to create excellent infrastructure facilities. The US delegation expressed interest to invest in aviation and defence sectors.

Possibilities of organising a joint Indo-American summit some time later this year were discussed at the meeting.

KCR also requested the US delegation to include Hyderabad in the schedule of US President Barack Obama as and when he visits India while offering all help for the US to build their consulate in Hyderabad.
