Telangana Tangle: Will the negotiations begin now?

With the APNGOs calling off stir and the Andhra politicians by and large accepting the demerger is inevitable, will there be any initiative for negotiations on the division of assets between the 2 regions? That is the million dollar questions facing the political pundits of the State. If there is no such initiative and the centre indeed goes ahead dividing the assets and proceeding with the bill, there could be longstanding acrimony between the 2 States on several issues after they are formed. More or less, that seems to be the course today’s events are taking with none of the major parties talking about any settlement yet, thanks to the oneupmanship happening among TDP, Congress and YSRCP leaders for garnering maximum vote in Andhra region by taking a hardline with United AP stand. It needs to be seen if things would change by this month end and how Jagan’s plans shape-up.
