Telangana Education Minister G Jagadeeswara Reddy is unperturbed with Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE)’s political game in partnership with AP Government to pressurize Telangana State to drop it’s reforms in fee reimbursement policy. When asked about APSCHE’s move to release notification for EAMCET counseling without Telangana Government’s approval, Telangana state has nothing to do and nothing to lose with the decision of the APSCHE. The Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) has informed that the notification for counseling for Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (EAMCET) candidates in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana will be announced on July 30.The verification of certificates would commence on August 7. Although the officials from Telangana did not participate in the meeting, the APSCHE, as directed by AP Govt, went ahead with announcement of dates. Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs and Urban Development M. Venkaiah Naidu has said the centre can not intervene in the fee reimbursement issues of Telangana and asked AP Govt. to sit with Telangana Govt. and resolve the issue. “That’s the way the governments function in a democracy,” the Union Minister said addressing a press conference in Hyderabad.
