APSCHE Notification Illegal; Students Taken For A Ride

The APSCHE Chairman L. Venugopal Reddy’s tall claims that he is doing the duty bestowed on him by AP Reorganisation Act with regard to the ‘common admission process’ and the provision to ‘protect rights of all students in AP & Telangana’ are under a cloud. His aggression in bringing out the notification despite protests from Telangana government has made the status of the counseling notification illegal. It is not the APSCHE Act that enables engineering counseling and admissions but the Capitation fee act, outside the purview of the APSCHE chairman. Don’t Attend APSCHE’s Counseling, Says Jagadishwar Reddy

Telangana Education Minister G. Jagadishwar Reddy said students of the state need not attend the certificate verification process for which the notification was issued by the APSCHE. Mr. Reddy termed the APSCHE’s notification as illegal and a ploy by A.P Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and APSCHE to mislead students and defame the Telangana Government. He pointed out that the AP Govt. didn’t even issue a GO to start counselling but enacting a drama with APSCHE. ‘AP is like Maharashtra and Karnataka. We will not interfere in AP affairs’

Telangana Education Minister G Jagadeeswara Reddy is unperturbed with Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE)’s political game in partnership with AP Government to pressurize Telangana State to drop it’s reforms in fee reimbursement policy. When asked about APSCHE’s move to release notification for EAMCET counseling without Telangana Government’s approval, Telangana state has nothing to do and nothing to lose with the decision of the APSCHE. He shot back “We are no way concerned with what the AP government does with regard to admissions to professional colleges. If they want to go ahead with counselling, let them. APSCHE Goes Ahead Unilaterally, Announces Dates For EAMCET Counseling

The Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) has informed that the notification for counseling for Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (EAMCET) candidates in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana will be announced on July 30.The verification of certificates would commence on August 7. Although the officials from Telangana did not participate in the meeting, the APSCHE, as directed by AP Govt, went ahead with announcement of dates.
