APSCHE Notification Illegal; Students Taken For A Ride

apscheThe APSCHE Chairman L. Venugopal Reddy’s tall claims that he is doing the duty bestowed on him by AP Reorganisation Act with regard to the ‘common admission process’ and the provision to ‘protect rights of all students in AP & Telangana’ are under a cloud. His aggression in bringing out the notification despite protests from Telangana government has made the status of the counseling notification illegal. It is not the APSCHE Act that enables engineering counseling and admissions but the Capitation fee act, outside the purview of the APSCHE chairman. The notification too needs approval of the Commissioner of Technical Education for Telangana State. But the notification was issued in the name of APSCHE.

The bottomline is that the notification anyway has no sanction of Telangana state and can’t do admissions for colleges in Telangana but importantly, its illegal and none of it’s admissions would be legal and would be struck down by court. So the students are take for a ride with this farce of a notification.
