Major Train Accident In Medak Kills Scores Of School Children

A school bus with around 45 kids aboard has been hit by a passenger train at unmanned level crossing near Masaipet today morning in the Medak District of Telangana state. 20 kids are reported to have died in the tragedy.

After the school bus was hit by a passenger train, the bus was dragged by the train for almost 1 km before the train came to a halt. The dead bodies are spread through out the area and are unidentifiable.

The bus belongs to Kakatiya techno school. The accident spot is near Manoharabad station. Many students are injured and are being rushed to Hyderabad.

Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao expressed his deep shock over the incident and rushed Irrigation Minister T. Harish Rao to the spot.
