Telangana Police Logo Released By State Government

Telangana Government has issued GO 18 notifying the above new logo and badges for the police force in the new, India’s 29th, state. The logo noticeably has Hindi and English but no Telugu in it. It remained unchanged from what was reported 20 days ago. As an exercise of image management of the police force and to communicate the changes in the new state, the new logo and badge has been decided over last 2 months even as the police force is being modernised with new policing methods and new machinery. Telangana TRANSCO CMD Rizvi Relieved For Central Deputation

Telangana Government has relieved, with immediate effect from the State Cadre, the services of Sri Syed Ali Murtaza Rizvi, IAS (1999) so that he can go on Central deputation. The Government issued a GO stating “Sri Syed Ali Murtaza Rizvi, IAS (1999) shall hand over the charge of the post of Chairman and Managing Director, Telangana TRANSCO to Sri Ahmad Nadeem, IAS (1997), Commissioner, Prohibition & Excise, Hyderabad, who is placed in full additional charge of the said post, until further orders”.  Government of India is posting Mr Rizvi as Director in Cabinet Secretariat under the Central Staffing Scheme for a period of five years. Medak To Get Central Institute of Plastics Engineering & Technology (CIPET)

The Union Minister for Fertilisers and Chemicals Ananth Kumar said that very soon, financial sanction for setting up a new Central Institute of Plastics Engineering & Technology (CIPET) campus over a 20-acre spread in Rudraram of Medak district at a cost of Rs. 50 crore would be accorded. It would take students intake up from the current 2,500 to about 5,000 in about two years, he said, to applause. It would be the biggest CIPET campus in country. He was speaking after inaugurating the international plastics exhibition. Hyderabad already boasts of a basic CIPET learning centre that trains 2,750 students. CM KCR on Saturday shot off a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi rejecting the Ministry of Home Affairs’ letter’s proposals to the State Government on Friday handing over state subjects of law & order to the Governor. The CM pointed out that bypassing the council of ministers by the Governor, as suggested by the letter, is neither sanctioned by the Constitution nor the AP Reorganisation Act. The CM doubted if the PM knew about the contents of the letter.
