The Intensive Household Survey, undertaken by the Telangana government on Tuesday, met with huge success with 95% of population, with 90 lakh households, getting covered in a single day. Survey in some districts like Warangal and Hyderabad could not be completed due to logistical problems. The State Govt Has empowered the district collectors to continue the survey on Wednesday, if need be, to complete the remaining locations. 95% of the population in the State was surveyed by 3.75 lakh enumerators across the State. What TelanganaTalkies reported a month before is official now. The TRS Government led by KCR has conceded the seven mandals of Khammam district to AP. The mandals which were transferred to Andhra Pradesh by the Centre through the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation (amendment) Bill, 2014, in July are now, without any controversy, part of AP. While speaking in a press conference on Tuesday, CM KCR was asked on why the survey exercise is not being carried out in the 7 mandals of AP. Telangana CM will inaugurate the State formation celebrations in Singapore, being organized by Telangana Cultural Society in Singapore. The event is scheduled on Thursday at 6:30 PM in PGP Hall, 397 Serangoon Road, the main commercial thoroughfare in Little India, the neighborhood predominately Indian.
