Telangana TRANSCO CMD Rizvi Relieved For Central Deputation

Telangana Government has relieved, with immediate effect from the State Cadre, the services of Sri Syed Ali Murtaza Rizvi, IAS (1999) so that he can go on Central deputation.

The Government issued a GO stating “Sri Syed Ali Murtaza Rizvi, IAS (1999) shall hand over the charge of the post of Chairman and Managing Director, Telangana TRANSCO to Sri Ahmad Nadeem, IAS (1997), Commissioner, Prohibition & Excise, Hyderabad, who is placed in full additional charge of the said post, until further orders”. 

Government of India is posting Mr Rizvi as Director in Cabinet Secretariat under the Central Staffing Scheme for a period of five years.

Mr Rizvi has been instrumental in the State’s plans to overcome it’s power deficit. He has been in the State’s team that visited Chhattisgarh for power purchase negotiations and in the team that presented Telangana’s arguments before the CEA in Delhi regarding the issues around cancellation of PPAs by AP Government.
