TUWJ Logo unveiled by KCR

Telangana Union Of Working Journalists (TUWJ), Telangana’s would-be official association of Jounalists released it’s logo at Telangana Journalist Jathara. KCR unveiled the logo of what would be 29th journalist union in the country.

In united AP, there was APUWJ which tried creating a Telangana unit under the leadership of K Srinivas Reddy and Devulapalli Amar. However, APUWJ has never been sympathetic to Telangana cause and it’s attempt was seen as hijacking Telangana’s own journalist union to serve the interests of Andhra’s political class. So Telangana journalists protested that attempt and have now formed their own body in continuation of the earlier body Telangana Journalists Forum (TJF), which was at the forefront of Telangana movement. Once the Telangana State comes into being, it would officially recognize this body as the official one as this has cross-party support as seen by presence of all political leaders at their meeting yesterday.
