Telangana Employee JAC File Photo

The Secretariat Telangana Employees Association (STEA) has raised serious objections over categorization of 207 officials as having origin in Telangana and demanded review of the entire process of division of employees. The objections came within a day of AP Govt. releasing a list of 1,865 Secretariat employees which categorized 1050 employees as that of Andhra and 805 that of Telangana. After giving a representation to general administration department (GAD) secretary SK Sinha, who promised review of the violations, the Association threatened any attempt to bulldoze their concerns would be met with complete boycott of the employees who faked their nativity. The employees took their concern to CM designate KCR. With this the TRS president has constituted a committee with four ...

DECODING TELANGANA VOTE

Screen Shot 2014-05-19 at 11.49.43 PM

What seemed impossible a few years ago is now a reality. Telangana will have its own first assembly and a Chief Minister in a few days from now. While most seem to believe that the Telangana results are on expected lines, the spectacular performance of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) deserves greater analysis. A party with virtually no cadre in many districts, virtually nonexistent in the twin cities of Hyderabad was able to mobilize a large number of voters in the Telangana plank. It made inroads in areas which were hitherto completely out of reach. Vote Share: In a multi cornered contest that was on witness in Telangana, even a few percentage points difference in vote share would mean a ...

KCR Ropes In CIL Chief To Succeed In His Vision Of Power-Surplus Telangana

Photo: The Hindu

In a coup of sorts, KCR convinced the chief of Coal India Limited S Narsing Rao to give up his high-profile post to serve in Telangana Chief Minister’s Office (CMO). While media reports say Mr Rao would be serving as Principal Secretary, it is possible he could serve as an OSD. CIL top position is highly contested for and Mr Rao himself was picked out of dozen top IAS officers 2 years ago. It must have required quite some convincing on KCR’s part for Rao to consider this option. Hardly a day after he broached the subject of power deficit in Telangana, KCR was knocking the doors of the Governor again with CIL Chief S Narsing Rao in toe, showing ...
