The Telangana government is working towards setting up a Hyderabad Habitat Centre on the lines of the one in New Delhi and also a ‘hanging bridge’ across Durgam Cheruvu lake here. Telangana Information Technology Minister K Taraka Rama Rao said, “we are working on Hyderabad Habitat Centre, with an investment outlay of more than Rs 100 crore and a Theatre District will be part of it.” He was speaking at the ‘Happening Hyderabad’ campaign event. “It will be probably better than Indian Habitat Centre,” he said, referring to the one in Delhi.Referring to the ‘hanging bridge’ project, Rama Rao said it is a wonderful concept which has been in the offing for quite some time but not yet taken off.“We are thinking ...

KCR Flags Off 100 Innovas & 200 Bikes To Patrol Hyderabad

Telangana Chief Minister KCR on Thursday assured that the State Government would modernise the entire police force in the next few months. He also assured that the CCTV cameras would be installed across the city in the next three months for round-the-clock surveillance. Further, the traffic control and management will be improved on the lines of Mumbai-model, he added. Today, he flagged off over 100 Innovas and 200 bikes to the Hyderabad and Cyberabad police at Tank Bund here. KCR also announced that an integrated police complex, with a central police command, would be constructed on eight acres of land at Banjara Hills. Curtain Raiser Held For AugustFest, The Mega StartUp Fest

The IT Minister KT Rama Rao participated at the curtain raiser of AugustFest, the largest start-up fest with over 1,500 start-ups from across India. The fest is being organised at ISB between August 30 and 31. “Ultimately, the idea is to promote and incubate start-ups from early stage to production stage. Around 60 engineering students from 10 colleges will also get an opportunity to pitch their ideas in the fest. Almost all the top IT organisations are with us for August Fest,” the IT Minister said.
